Botanical Pesticides and Environmental Microbiology Lab

Agriculture plays a vital role for food supply. Food demand is increasing day by day with increasing of world population. To meet the food demand indiscriminate uses of chemical pesticides and fungicides are increasing alarmingly in agri-fields. Consequently, soil, water, air and food are contaminated and polluted badly, and deteriorated the ecosystem causing serious health hazard to human and environment. It affects the biodiversity causing increased number of endangered and extinct floral and faunal species.
Therefore, to survive in a healthy environment, eco-friendly and safe botanical pesticides from plants are urgently required to conserve the environment for the betterment of human and nature.
