The Department of Social Work, University of Rajshahi, successfully organized the second inauguration ceremony (orientation programme) on “Fundamentals of Research Methodology.” The Social Science Research Council, Planning Division, Ministry of Planning, Bangladesh, sponsored the programme. Professor Dr. M. Fakrul Islam, a prominent research scholar, columnist, and social scientist, and former Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and former Chairman of the Department of Social Work, University of Rajshahi,  graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Professor Muhammad Shaiful Islam, Acting Chairman of the Department of Social Work, University of Rajshahi, chaired the programme, while Professor Dr. Md. Shahidur Rahman Choudhary of the same department served as the Course Coordinator of the training programme. The event was also attended by several other distinguished professors and lecturers from the Department of Social Work. A total of 50 students from various sessions of the department participated in the newly launched training programme. The orientation programme aims to strengthen students’ foundational understanding of research methodology, equipping them with essential skills for academic and professional research endeavors.
