The Three-Day Workshop on Academic and Professional Writing, took place over the course of three days, from 15 to 17 September 2026 (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). The workshop was designed for lecturers from different departments of the University of Rajshahi and focused on practical aspects of academic and professional writing and communication. The workshop was inaugurated by the Honourable Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Dr. Mamunur Rashid, on the first day of the programme, and subsequently featured five major sessions, with Professors and Associate Professors from both IEOL and the English department as resource persons.

First Session: Writing recommendation letters (15.7.26)

Second Session: Writing research proposals for MPhil/PhD (16.7.26)

Third Session: Moderating, chairing, and presenting in academic sessions and panel discussions (16.7.26)

Resource Person: Dr. Maswood Akhter, Professor & Director, IEOL, University of Rajshahi

Fourth Session: Professional correspondences for higher studies and other purposes through emails (17.7.26)

Resource Person: Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Associate Professor, Department of English, University of Rajshahi

Fifth Session: Preparing abstract for research journals/seminars/conferences (17.7.26)

Resource Person: Dr. Natasha Afrin, Associate Professor, IEOL, University of Rajshahi

On Thursday afternoon, after the fifth session, the workshop was declared concluded after a certificate distribution segment, where the Director, the faculties, and office staff of IEOL were present, as well as the Lecturers that attended the workshop.
