On the first of August, Saturday, a workshop titled “Teachers’ Seminar on Japanese Language Education for Life in Japan,” was held at the Institute of English and Other Languages. The seminar was a joint effort between the University of Dhaka and Japan Foundation, with collaborative efforts supplied the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh and the University of Rajshahi.

The seminar was conducted by Tomoyuki Fukui (JF Expert, Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka), and Professor Dr. Mohammad Ansarul Alam (Director, Institute of Modern Languages, University of Dhaka), while Shakib Ahmed (Lecturer, Institute of English and Other Languages, University of Rajshahi) served as the hosting Institute’s representative in the absence of its Director, Professor Maswood Akhter, who was on professional leave.
