Professor Dr. Lovely Nahar

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah. Welcome to July-36 Hall, a proud residential community of Rajshahi University. The University of Rajshahi is the reputed second largest University among the Universities of Bangladesh, known as the Cambridge of the East. It is one of the country’s most self-contained universities and digital campuses. The University has a total of 18 halls and an international standard dormitory. ‘July-36 Hall’ is one of the most spectacular halls in the University of Rajshahi. At Rajshahi University, July-36 Hall was previously known as Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Hall. The hall was officially renamed “July-36 Hall” following a decision taken at the university’s 539th Syndicate meeting in May 2025. It was named to commemorate the spirit of sacrifice, courage, and democratic aspiration associated with the historic events of July and the memory symbolized by the number “36.” The naming reflects the university’s commitment to preserving national history, honoring those who struggled for justice and rights, and inspiring future generations with the values of patriotism, unity, and resilience.
I encourage all residents to maintain a peaceful and friendly environment, respect hall rules, and cooperate with fellow students and hall administration. Active participation of students in educational, cultural, and social activities will help strengthen the spirit and reputation of our hall. Cleanliness, discipline, and unity are essential for a healthy residential atmosphere. Let us work together to make July-36 Hall a model of excellence, harmony, and student leadership. My door remains open to students for suggestions, concerns, and welfare-related matters. I wish every student success in studies and a bright future ahead.
