The Department of Islamic Studies at the University of Rajshahi is one of the leading departments of higher learning and research in Islamic disciplines in Bangladesh. Established with the vision of promoting authentic Islamic knowledge and contemporary scholarship, the department offers undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs. Since its inception, it has been committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement.

The department provides comprehensive education in Qur’anic Studies, Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence, Islamic Theology, Islamic History and Civilization, Islamic Economics, Comparative Religion, and contemporary Islamic thought.
