On November 8, 2025, a seminar titled “Academic Writing as a Responsibility to Represent” was held at the Institute of English and Other Languages. The Director of the Institute, Professor Maswood Akhter presided over the seminar, and the esteemed Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Farid Uddin Khan arrived as the chief guest. Dr. Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Professor from the Department of English Language and Literature of the International Islamic University Malaysia, presented an essay, on which Dr. Natasha Afrin, Associate Professor at the Institute, provided a commentary. Among others, the Acting Registrar, Professor Dr. Md. Iftikharul Alam Masud, along with numerous other teachers and researchers from the Institute and various other Universities were present.
