Vision
To be recognized as a regional centre of excellence in engineering education and research where highly qualified faculty and outstanding students pursue knowledge in a context of ethical and social values. This distinguished education will enable students to contribute to the development of Bangladesh in a socially responsible manner and will ensure academic excellence, research, professionalism, entrepreneurship, and partnership with local and global communities.

Mission
Our mission is to acquire, promote, develop and disseminate knowledge of engineering sciences and its application nationally and globally by producing competent professional engineers with social, economic and ethical values, and environmental consciousness, who will contribute to sustainable development of humankind.

About Faculty
To meet the increasing demand in the respective fields, the faculty of Engineering was founded on March 2010, and now is comprised of Five (05) departments:

Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (Established in 1967)
Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Established in 1993)
Department of Information and Communication Engineering (Established in 2000)
Department of Materials Science and Engineering (Established in 2002)
Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Established in 2015)

The Faculty runs four years Bachelor programs and one and half years (3 Semester) of Master programs. It also offers MPhil and Ph.D. degrees in various disciplines. Majority of students enroll in Master programs after completion of Bachelor program. Our graduates are much sought by employers- either by direct employment in the broad area of their own discipline or pursue successful careers in diverse areas such as education, energy and power, electronics, ICT, industry, commerce and public sectors.
