Message from Director
World Health Organization defined that complete mental, physical and social wellbeing is health. The management of the University of Rajshahi desires that all the students, teachers and staff members should function in a healthy condition. Physical health matters were given attention since the establishment of the university through the medical doctors and now the university possesses a well developed medical center.
RUMHC (Rajshahi University Mental Health Center) is the second bold step of the university to uplift the mental health of all the persons affiliated with the university. RUMHC has started functioning from 1st August 2017 with its own resources without any fund from UGC. The center is functioning relatively on voluntary basis.
Not only the psychologists and the psychiatrists, interventions in mental health problems need multidisciplinary care and efforts, including the social scientists. Therefore, we expect that the teachers and researchers of all disciplines will extend their professional expertise to uplift this center to the highest excellence as in other renowned universities of the world.
