Welcome to International Conference, 2018

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh in association with Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP-CP-6177) is going to organize a day-long   international conference on “Translational Research in Biochemistry for Better Life and Sustainable Development“. The conference will be held on September 6, 2018 at Senate Bhaban of the university. The economy of Bangladesh is growing steadily with increasing per capita income and average life expectancy of the people. Research on Biochemistry can play important roles in sustainable development. A huge number of new information is generated in basic or laboratory-based research all over the world. Translation of laboratory findings to industrial, agricultural, clinical and other applications is a big challenge today. Bridging the gap between the laboratory research and real demand of the country makes its economy sustainable.  Most of our research is far from the actual national demand, priorities and needs.  Realizing the fact, the Department has decided to organize this conference to bring renowned national and international scientists, entrepreneurs and researchers together so that they can exchange their views, experiences, necessities, opportunities and difficulties in translational research. The Department believes that the ideas and experiences shared by the scientists, researchers, academics and entrepreneurs will facilitate development of translational research in our university and the other institutions of the country.
