Message from Dean<\/h2>\n

I feel honored to take up the position of the 16th Dean of the Faculty of Social Science, University of Rajshahi in its 33nd<\/sup>\u00a0<\/span>year. Beginning with only four, it is now home to as many as ten departments\u2014Economics, Political Science, Social Work, Sociology, Mass Communication and Journalism, Information Science and Library Management, Public Administration, Anthropology, Folklore and International Relations. It is one of the largest\u00a0faculties to which about 26% of the students of this university are enrolled.\u00a0\u00a0This faculty has a rich tradition of teaching and research and is proud of the qualified, dignified and enthusiastic teaching\u00a0 staff who\u00a0are striving to achieve a world-class level in their academic pursuit.<\/p>\n

The students who enroll into the departments of this faculty are taught and trained by their teachers in classrooms and in the field. They are equipped to enter and prosper in various types of careers and to face the fierce reality of the uncertain future posed by the contemporary world. The departments of this faculty offer BSS (Hons.), MSS, MPhil, PhD, MSS (Evening) programmes and Diploma in Information Science and Library Management, and Certificate Courses in Mass Communication and Journalism. A huge number of alumni of this faculty are scattered all round the world, many of whom have achieved high positions in their careers and excelled in their respective endeavors.<\/p>\n

I welcome you to the Faculty of Social Science, University of Rajshahi and look forward to helping you accomplish your cherished goals through the expertise and sincerity of our academic and administrative staff. I believe we will be able to provide an enjoyable, useful and memorable learning experience for you.<\/p>\n
