Publication ethics and publication malpractice statement of Rajshahi University journal of <\/i><\/span>Life & Earth and Agricultural Sciences<\/i> <\/span>is primarily based on the Code of Conduct and Best-Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors (COPE: Committee on Publication Ethics 2011).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

PUBLICATION POLICY<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

A. Submission Types<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Two types of manuscripts can be submitted: Original research articles,<\/span> short communications, and reviews. All types of submissions are subject to peer review.<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Original Research Articles: <\/span><\/b>Should describe new and carefully confirmed findings, with proper research procedures provided in sufficient detail for others to verify the work. The length of a full paper should be the minimum required to describe and interpret the work clearly.<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Reviews: <\/span><\/b>Submissions of reviews and perspectives covering topics of current interest are welcome and encouraged. Reviews should be concise, but there is no page limitation. They are also peer-reviewed.<\/span><\/p>\n

B. Language<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Papers in English language can only be submitted. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

C. Review Process<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

After submission, Editorial Board (any member of the editorial board or editorial assistant) will check the composition and arrangement of the paper against the RUJLEAS Author Guidelines to ensure it includes the required sections, formatting and stylisation. The quality of the paper is not assessed at this point. If a manuscript passes this stage, it will be forwarded to the EIC (Editor-in-chief or any other member of the editorial board) to check that the paper is appropriate for the journal and is sufficiently original and interesting. If not, the paper may be rejected without being reviewed any further. If the manuscript is accepted at this level, it would be sent to two reviewers for in-depth review. The editorial board will select the reviewers (author may suggest a reviewer, but the Editorial board will make final decision about selection of reviewers). Based on reviewers’ comments, the EB\/EIC or Handling Editor of the upcoming issue shall make the final decision. The EB may decide an additional review, if it becomes difficult to reach a decision from the comments made by initial peer reviewers (1st and 2nd reviewers). The editorial board can take four types of decisions at this point, and these are (a) Accepted (with no change of manuscript); (b) Accepted after minor correction; (c) Accepted after major correction; and (d) Rejected<\/i><\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Decisions on the submitted manuscript will be made as rapidly as possible, and the journal strives to return reviewers\u2019 comments to authors promptly. If the manuscript is accepted with minor\/major correction, it would be returned to corresponding author to perform necessary correction according to the reviewer\u2019s comment. Author will get 1 month to resubmit the manuscript. The Editorial board will re-review manuscripts that are accepted pending revision. Finally the manuscript will be reviewed by the Chief Editor at the last stage of publishing. <\/span><\/p>\n

D. Proof and Reprints<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

A proof copy of the manuscript will be sent to the corresponding author’s email address as a PDF file attachment. Page proofs are considered the final version of the manuscript. Apart from typographical or minor clerical errors, no changes will be made to the manuscript at the proof stage. RUJLEAS, being an open-access journal, will publish articles online for free to reach a wide audience. Authors will have unrestricted electronic access to the full-text article in PDF format. Authors can freely download the PDF file and print unlimited copies of their articles. However, hardcopies must be ordered in advance, with charges borne by the authors.<\/span><\/p>\n

E. Post Production Publishing
<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
