It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Department of Physical Education and Sports Science (PESS) at the University of Rajshahi. Since our journey began in September 2015, this department has been more than just a place of study\u2014it has been a hub of inspiration, determination, and the pursuit of excellence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Located on the third floor of the First Science Building (Northern Block), our department is home to a vibrant community of young minds\u2014140 undergraduate and 30 graduate students\u2014who bring energy, talent, and passion into every classroom, laboratory, and playing field. Together, we are building not only careers but also character, discipline, and leadership.<\/span><\/p>\n

At PESS, we believe that sports and education are powerful tools for shaping lives. Here, every lecture, every training session, and every research project is an opportunity to grow\u2014not just academically, but physically, mentally, and socially. Our mission is to nurture future educators, coaches, researchers, and leaders who will not only represent our university with pride but also serve society by promoting health, fitness, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.<\/span><\/p>\n

We encourage our students to dream big, to challenge their limits, and to see obstacles as opportunities. Whether on the field or in the classroom, success is not defined only by medals or grades, but by the resilience, teamwork, and values that each student carries forward in life.<\/span><\/p>\n

As Chairman, I warmly invite you to be a part of this journey\u2014whether as a student, collaborator, or well-wisher. Together, let us move forward with the belief that through sports and education, we can build a healthier, stronger, and more dynamic society.<\/span><\/p>\n
