At present, the d­iscipline of Music is offered as both Honours and Master™s degree prog­ramme. Besides mandatory courses, as a student in Honours degree programme you will select a number of open elective courses like Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet and Folk Music.

The focus here is Raga Music. You can chose to specialise in different sub-disciplines in Master™s degree, such as Dhrupad, Khayal or Nazrul Sangeet . Currently Rabindra Sangeet and Folk Music are not being offered.
