The Department of Law is one of the founding departments of the University of Rajshahi. Since the beginning of its journey, from 1953 to date, it is one of the pioneers of higher legal education in Bangladesh. It has a wide name and fame at home and abroad. Under the Faculty of Law, the department offers the programmes of Bachelor of Laws with Honours (LL.B Honours) and specialized Master of Laws (LL.M). Besides these, One year and Two-years\u2019 evening LLM programmes are also running under it for the students from different institutions with law backgrounds.<\/p>\n

There is a well-updated moot court for grooming the practical and clinical legal skill development. To fulfill the thirst for knowledge, the department facilitated a resourceful seminar library. A wide range of research facilities including PhD and MPhil degrees\u00a0 are also fostered by the department. The Law Journal named \u201cLaw Review\u201d is being published every year regularly.<\/p>\n

The department provides the most advanced and dynamic academic courses for efficacious legal education. The department designed its academic courses help to enhance the legal acumen of the students and prepare them to be a legal luminary in the future. It is pertinent to mention here that the department\u2019s graduate and undergraduate students continue their excellencies at both national and international levels. An impressive number of its alumnus currently dominate the higher legal arena of the country.<\/p>\n
