The Department of Chemistry, University of Rajshahi began its life in 1958. For these long years the department has been catering chemistry education to the Honours and Masters degree levels and has by this time produced large number of chemists for the nation. Each year the department also offers programs for M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees for a limited number of meritorious students in chemistry. Serious researches in different areas of chemistry are going in the department under the supervision of the qualified teachers. The department has equipped undergraduate laboratories, large research laboratories for each section and a rich seminar library. The current faculty strength of the department is 35, of which\u00a022 professors,\u00a012 associate professors and\u00a01 assistant professor. The teachers are all well-trained and equipped with the wealth of modern knowledge in chemistry. They are all committed\u00a0to their noble profession. The Young Scholars of the country interested in chemistry will be highly welcome in the department.<\/p>\n
