The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Rajshahi was established in 1976 as \u201cThe Department of Biochemistry\u201d with M.Sc. curriculum under the Faculty of Science and it gained its full shape in 1981. To modernize the department, it was later renamed as the \u201cDepartment of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology\u201d in 2001. Now, the department is conducting a four-years B.Sc. (Honours) and a one year M. Sc. courses. Graduates from Biochemistry have opportunity to conduct higher studies with two years M. Phil. and three years Ph.D. programme in different fields including molecular biology, protein and enzyme chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, nutritional chemistry, environmental health science, natural product chemistry, medicine, endocrinology, oncology etc. They have enough scope to persue higher studies in abroad concerning M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses in multiple areas of research after graduation from this department.<\/p>\n

The home page of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is designed to give the current information on the organization of the department along with new admissions in B.Sc. (Honours) course and other essential aspects. I strongly believe that the home page will be helpful for the students and other visitors to understand the activities of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Rajshahi.<\/p>\n
