Research experience:
· Worked in the Department of Entomology, University of Kentucky, USA, as a Postdoctoral Scholar for characterizing Wolbachia infection dynamics (using crossing types and PCR) in the mosquito Aedes albopictus from June 2003 to May 2005.
· Received Commonwealth Staff Fellow Award and conducted postdoctoral research in the Department of Zoology, Oxford University, UK, during October 2001 and May 2003, on incompatibility relationships in the flour beetle Tribolium confusum and identification of a gregarization factor (using HPLC and behavioral assays) in the egg-pods of the desert locusts.
