This event of launching homepage of the Department of Social Work is a milestone towards the future expansion of education in the department as well as in the University of Rajshahi. As trained social workers now we have a moral and social obligation to act in building resilient communities and nations. The need to engage fully in building a problem free society has never been more pressured in our society by the rulers. It is the duty to both teachers and students not only in educational institutions but also in all spheres of organizational settings where we might play guru-disciple role. I think man is ‘born free’ and all should perform their duties and responsibilities freely and network communication through homepage can play a vital role in this regard. I deeply believe the page would successfully contribute to mainstreaming the social work education in Bangladesh and abroad into policy- modeling, planning framework through effective interaction among the browser-users.

I appreciate the initiative of making this homepage and would like to congratulate the contributors for sharing the ideas and understanding on the total plan. I Thank the team leader Mr. Wahidur Reza Wahid a student of computer science and his group members for supporting this event.
