Rajshahi University Fisheries Association (RUFA) started its journey in 2002. To enhance the extra curriculum activities other than the research and academic aspects is the aim of the association. RUFA is found to play a significant role while conducting different indoor games and cultural competition, arranging picnic and Iftar party, participating national fisheries related programs and exploring the output of the Fisheries department including the sharing of new information through conducting seminar/workshop in collaboration with GO, NGO and development partners. Prof. Dr. N.I.M. Abdus Salam Bhuiyan is the founder president of RUFA.
The executive committee is formed for one year. The committee shall consist of the president, treasurer, vice president, secretarial and general members. The chairman of the Dept. of Fisheries shall be the ex-officio president of RUFA. The treasurer is nominated by the president while the others are elected by the students.
