Welcome to the Office of the Chief Engineer

University of Rajshai was established in 1953. At the beginning of its establishment structures were constructed by then C&B (Now PWD). Some buildings, namely Physics building (1^st t science building), Residential buildings (E/1. E/2, W/13, W/14, W/15, and W/16).

Master Plan was made by Barger & Co. in 1958. They also designed and supervised the construction of Central Library Building, Zubari International Guest house (Zubari House), University Hospital Complex (Medical center) and Swimming Pool. Plan and Design of 1st Arts and 2nd Arts Building was made by ACE Ltd. Dhaka.

But due to ongoing progress of infrastructural maintenance and constructions it became essential to establish an engineering section. And so the Engineering Section was established in 1963 under the execution of a diploma engineer Alhazz Md. Wahed-un-Nobi. But the Engineering Section started fully growing after Md. Asad Hossain joining as the Executive Engineer of this Section.

From then this section is the authority for infrastructural construction and maintenance of Acadimic Buildings, Halls of Residence, Resendential buildings, Roads, Electrical installations, Water supply and Sanitations.
