6.(iv) Distribution of Marks for Class Attendance

Students having less than 60% class attendance shall be treated as dis-collegiate and shall not be allowed to sit for examination.
10. Promotion
(a) A minimum of G.P.A. 2.0 is required for promotion from Part-1 to Part-2, G.P. 2.25 for promotion from Part-2 to Part-3 and G.P.2.5 for Promotion from Part-3 to Part-4.
(b) For promotion from Part-1 to Part-2, Part-2 to Part-3 and from Part-3 to Part-4 a student shall also obtain credit points 22, 26 and 28 respectively.
(c) But the departments having fieldwork/ practical in the 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year Honours programme, a student shall have to obtain minimum G.P. 2.0 independently in the fieldwork/practical examinations for being promoted to the next higher class(s)
11. Course improvement :
A student earning grade point less than 2.75 of bellow in individual courses shall be allowed to improve the grades on courses, not more than two including those of ‘F’ grades, if any of Part-1, Part-2 and Part-3 examination of their equivalent courses (in case of changes in the syllabus) defined by the departmental academic committee through the regular examination of the immediate following batch. But if a candidate fails to improve the ‘F’ in the first attempt, he/she shall get a second chance in the immediate next year to clear the ‘F’ grades. No improvement shall be allowed in case of incourse examination/Practical/Fieldwork/Viva-voce/Class assessment/Tutorial/Terminal/Thesis/Dissertation/Home assignment. If a candidate fails to improve his/her course grade or fails to appear at the examination the previous grade shall remain valid.
12. Re-admission
If a student fails in the examination of fails to appear at the examination, may on the approval of the relevant department be admitted to the immediate following session in the first, second, third of fourth year of the Programme. But a student shall be re-admitted only once in a single academic year and in the whole programme he/she shall get that chance only twice. Re-admitted student shall have to reappear at all course examinations of the particular year.
13. Improvement of Results
If a students obtains a minimum of G.P less than 2.75 in individual course(s) at the 4th year Honours examination shall be allowed to improve the grades on courses at the 4th year Honours level not more than four in numbers for improvement of result, Bul a student shall not be allowed to improve his/her grade points for the incourse examination/practical courses/fieldwork/viva-voce/class assessmint/tutorial/terminal/home assignment/thesis/dissertation. the year of examination in case of the improvement of result shall remain the same as that of the regular examination.
16. Publication of Results
Results to be published within two months after the completion of examination. results to be published of the basis of letter Grading System(given below)
