Md. Jalal Uddin Sarder is serving from the very beginning of
the department. Dr. Sarder worked on "Genetic Variation in Semen
Characters in Relation to Fertility of some Pure and Cross-bred
AI Bulls" and obtained PhD from Rajshahi University. Dr. Sarder
served for about a decade in the Department of Livestock Services
(DLS) as Bangladesh Civil Service officer. Dr. Sarder has an excellent
potential in catering students in teaching.
Research
Area
The research area of Dr. Sarder approaches reproduction of cattle
with an emphasis on semen collection, semen preservation, freezing
and AI, development of systematic breeding program of dairy and
beef cattle, management of reproductive and herd health and mastitis
control.
