The Faculty of Science was first established in 1956, and now consists of eight Department: Department of Chemistry, Department of Physics, Department of pharmacy, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Department of mathematics, Department of Applied mathematics, Department of Statistics, Department of Population Science and Human resource development.  our vision, inline with the University's objects, is to be an internationally renowned Science Faculty. The Faculty aims at achieving the following targets,

(i) Transformative education that natures thinking individuals who are alive to opportunities to make a difference are valued members and leaders of society and global citizens effective in diverse settings.

(ii) High impact research that advances the boundaries of knowledge and contributes to the betterment of society.

(iii) Dedicated service that adds social, economic and national development.

      The Science Faculty provides solid background to undergraduates in their respective fields of study and helps develop scientific perspective knowledge and skills are transferred to the students by wel trained and experienced academic staff using the latest effective teaching and learning techniques. The faculty is offering Masters, M. Phil, and Ph.D. programs in various disciplines.

The quality of our staff members and research work conducted by them are well recognized nationally and globally. Each year our staff members are publishing hundreds of articles in journals at home and abroad.

The faculty had been one of the largest recipients of research grants in the University. We have been striving hard vto develop global profile and reach as a leader among University.
