The Faculty of Engineering at the
University of Rajshahi has been established on March 2010, and
comprises of five research-feed department: Applied Physics and
Electronic Engineering (Estd. 1966), Applied Chemistry and Chemical
Engineering (Estd. 1969, Computer Science and Engineering (Estd. 1993),
Information and Communication Engineering (Estd.2000, Materials Science
and Engineering (Estd. 2002). The faculty has over 100 academic
staffs (including 35 professors) and over 70 technical /administrative/supporting
staffs. Although each department has own distinct identity, there are some
major interdisciplinary research activities in various fields.
International standard research are conducted in the member departments
of the faculty, and there are research collaboration through the
world making it an exciting environment for both research and
teaching-learning activities.
The Faculty offers four year's B.Sc. Engineering one year's
one year's M. Sc.
Engineering, and three years' Ph.D. Doctor of Engineering degrees in
various disciplines. Almost 98% of undergraduates after completion of
degrees go on for higher degree (M. Sc. Eng.). Our graduates are much
sought by employers either by direct employment in the broad area of
their own discipline or pursue successful careers in diverse areas such
as education. IT, industry. commerce and public sectors.
